The Phytotech Labs product information sheets for their media powders specify a storage temperature of 2-6 C. The majority of these formulations contain only inorganic salts. I don't understand why they need to be stored below room temperature. Is the temperature requirement real? What's the reason for it?

You cannot complain on the quality of product if it wasn't stored at conditions told by producent ;) It will be safe to store well-packed medium in room temperature. Medias with hormones shold also stay well in this temperature- i have may chemicals from 50' and they are really good, now producents give only 1 year validity for the same chemicals, what are better packed than those from 50'....

Regards
